About the Role
As a Data Analytics Intern, you will work closely with the Project Coordinator and Teaching team to support their work in collecting, processing, and analyzing data to identify trends and patterns, and help inform business transformative decisions. You will be responsible for performing various data-related tasks, such as data entry, data cleaning, and data analysis, and supporting the team in various data related projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with data collection, data entry, and data cleaning tasks.
Perform basic data analysis and visualization tasks to support the team in identifying trends and patterns.
Help prepare reports and presentations to communicate insights and findings to the team and stakeholders.
Support the team in data-driven decision-making processes by providing accurate and timely data.
Design and carry out surveys and analyze survey data.
Manipulate, analyze and interpret complex data sets relating to the employer's business.
Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools.
Create data dashboards, graphs and visualizations.
Assist with other tasks related to data analytics projects as assigned.

Work Environment/Conditions
2-3 hours weekly. Remote - flexible schedule, as long as deadlines are met.
The duration of the internship can range from 3 to 6 months, depending on the organization’s need and the intern's availability - possibility to extend permanent part-time.
The compensation for the internship will vary depending on education and experience level. It can range from $17-20/hourly.
Must pass a criminal background check and a child abuse clearance.
Salary Range: $15-16/hr

Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and visualization.
Proficient in using data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, R, and/or Python.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
